So excited to share the second round of Friday Favorites with you all! Each week I invite you to stop by for my checkIN & checkOUT posts, which will be a list of recipes, cocktails, products, projects or new finds that I’m excited to try. Here’s this week’s dose of fun and inspiration!
Anyone else out there into March Madness? I LOVE college basketball, and while I don’t get as much time to watch games during the regular season, we always make time for the NCAA tournament. We are UCONN fans, and though I don’t think they’ll get too, too far this year, let’s take a minute to give a shout out to another Connecticut team getting it’s first win ever in NCAA tournament play: Go Yale Bulldogs!!! Anyway, we’ll have some friends and family over this weekend to hang out and watch the madness, and I’m looking forward to trying out some of these amazing looking appetizers that won’t break the calorie bank! Bring on the Skinny Taco Dip!
And what’s a March Madness party without a March Madness cocktail?! Becky’s sangria recipe looks out of this world! It combines apple cider, hard apple cider and white wine…yes, please!
checkOUT: S’well Water Bottles
So if we’re going to be indulging in gameday food and drinks, we have to even that out with lots of water to stay hydrated. Life is all about balance, right? My girlfriend Amie has been raving about her S’well water bottle for weeks now. She has conducted tests, lol…and it keeps water frosty cold for 24 hours…she swears! And the bottles are beautiful to boot. Fashion and function? I’ll take two!
My kids only last so long watching sports games on tv. They do not understand mama’s need to pay close attention to the game, so I like to have some fun distractions to keep them busy when they tire of the madness. I’ll bring out our Little Tykes basketball hoop so they can practice their dunks. And how cute is this Basketball Memory game? I’ll have my older kids make the game, and then entertain my little guy with it…WIN, WIN!
And for those of you who could care less about college basketball…check out this post on Essential Tools for Spring Cleaning by the Clean Mama herself, Becky. Since I will be spending way too much time watching hoops this weekend, I’ll have to catch up on my spring cleaning during the week, and Becky’s lists and tips almost make it seem…fun? Bring on the Spring!
I hope you enjoy this week’s list, and come checkIN next week to checkOUT some more great finds!
